Another successful Midge McCrone Charity Day on Saturday. The course was awash with various shades of Pink.

The sum already raised from the day is a superlative £3510.

With the silent auction items due to be revealed on 31st July, we remain hopeful we may break through the £5k barrier which will be equally split between Breast Cancer Now & Teenage Cancer Trust. An additional item to the impressive Silent Auction list is a week’s accommodation in a flat in Spain, near Torrevieja. This item will be added to the poster.

Congratulations to Michael and Keith Watt, who won the event with a 63.2, closely followed by Chris Gaunt & Mark Scoular, and Graeme Hunt & Tom Pithie with 63.6 in joint runners up spot.

Many thanks to the McCrone family, all sponsors and members who donated either raffle or silent auction prizes, and all staff and members who contributed or supported the event to make it a continuing success story for both the charities and the club.

Special thanks also go to Maggie Pringle for co-ordinating everything leading up to and including the day, making everyone aware of their responsibilities and deadlines, and ensuring the smooth running of the day’s event – the only thing she failed to organise was a wee bit of sunshine and slightly warmer weather, …….. which may have helped create further shades of pink!.
